Silage Baling and Wrapping Material

The right silage baling and wrapping material directly affects forage quality and storage life. Taizy supplies two binding materials and one wrapping film for round silage bales: plastic net, rope, and silage wrap film (also called grass film or stretch film). Each product comes in two roll sizes to fit your baler.

Getting the net-to-film ratio right is key to airtight fermentation. For 3-layer wrapping, a standard 1:5 ratio means one roll of plastic net per five rolls of silage film. Get it wrong, and you waste film or get poor sealing—either way, the silage spoils.

The net-to-film ratio shows how many rolls of plastic net you need per roll of silage film, depending on the number of wrap layers. Use the table below to plan your orders.

• Cut net cleanly—ragged edges tear easily
• Recycle used net—it does not biodegrade
